Darnell Mooney 2020 Outlook

The problem isn’t Mooney unfortunately, it’s foles.

I watched this entire game on Sunday and was insanely frustrated for Mooney. He is continually open and Foles continually throws it right into the line. He had a sure fire TD late in the game from inside the 10, ran a little slant and nobody was around him, basically just him standing alone in the endzone and Foles threw it right into the line. I have to move on from Mooney not because of his talent, but because Foles kills all the value in that offense.

This dude legit could've had 100+yds last game. If he's going to get these looks, esp the short ones, I gotta be buying. Don't need to start him next week, but if anything were to happen to A-rob or even Anthony Miller, his usage could be more consistent and he's a viable play. He got short looks, long looks, and redzone looks.

Oh he's so legit. By far one of the people I'm buying tons on next year if they get a better qb. At least an accurate one. I'm still excited about this year. He's like a DeSean Jackson but with no fear about contact.

Match-up on paper looks pretty awesome. Targets are on the rise. Should be noted that A-Rob is Q, but likely- he soaks up a ton of coverage attention.

Just feel like this is a good opportunity to play him as your 3 WR or deep league flex.

New guy calling plays gonna hinder or help the wr 3 in this offense

Help, I think. So many of Mooney's routes in Nagy's book required more protection than the Bears Oline can give. Imagine Mooney getting a quick pass in stride across the middle with room to run. I'm salivating.

So you're saying he's nailed on for 100 yards and 3 TDs?

I happen to agree

Why are we asking about Anthony Miller?

Mooney is the WR2 in this offense, and works outside, while Miller is the WR3 working more out of the slot.

Some positives:

-Experienced coordinator now calling plays, was def know as a pass friendly/spread guy

-He has been getting plenty of targets and seems to have an expanding route tree

-Bears are getting a good lineman back

-Monty out

-ARob is banged up and will command safety help

-Vikes don't have much of a pass rush and are down several starting CBs

-Mooney has been dusting legit really good NFL corners for the last several weeks

-Foles is streaky, but if he manages to get on a bit of a heater it could be fun

Yessir excited to watch this game and see if our boy Mooney can cook something up. We know he’ll get open. Just have to hope Nick can hit him.

Can you imagine if this kid Mooney played with a really good quarterback?!!  You can see that he's very confident, runs silky smooth routes, catches everything thrown his way.... Reminds me a little bit of a poor man's Calvin Ridley.

Yeah that was a bummer. He was wide open a ton on the first drive of the game. Foles just didn't look his way...he was totally open for the TD too.

Was lining up all over the formation, just Foles was under siege and never could step up. This team flatly sucks on offense. QB might help, idk?

Let’s not have anymore talk how good this guy might, could be... he just not. The first thing we all should have done once lineups unlocked was to drop Darnell Mooney.  8.1 fantasy points his last two weeks

i'm honestly worried about his dynasty prospects considering the bears havent had a QB since...

Well know the bears will get a qb... they aren't gonna go qb less... so rest easy next year on that... but current season trash.. then is he really the number 2? And is the number 2 worth it? And is he really young tyreek?

Or antonio brown cause his routes are perfect his separation perfect? Or is he just smoking some guys? Those are dynasty questions cause I need a drop but won't if he is those... cause I can wait a year for that

LMFAO

This is Nick Foles dude...and the Matt Nagy offense. It's going to be painful for all offensive skill players until it's not.
