Seems like a brutal injury to come back from and start slinging the rock a ton. Seems like a ton of kamara handoffs ,no? I doubt they'd bring him back if he was limited throwing and had to hand off all game. I think when he comes back you can trust him as much as before

Eaglesflyhigh11 450
This could be a great spot to put him back into our lineups in a super shootout
codyodea 351
The fear is he is one hit away from leaving the game or that Hill spells him a bunch and gets a bunch of packages. Do you think they would suit Brees up if he's one hit away?

herschel 1,986
Hill will still be used. Probably more now that pre Brees injury. Can’t see starting him outside of 2 qb leagues.
codyodea 351
What are the odds Brees is healthy enough to throw the ball 25-30 times and finish the game? Seems like he wouldn't be starting if those things weren't probable.
trilly 227
I unfortunately have to roll with him, and I'm nervous as hell about it re: his snaps and ability to finish the game.

Same situation here...[...] I can't imagine Payton would green light Brees if there was any real concern about his injury...eager to see these two offenses go at it. Tua had to throw it what...like 45 times to keep up with Mahomes? Brees has an opportunity here to have a huge game. I'm in the playoffs and am going to gamble on starting him over the likes of someone like...Cousins. Most of us who had Brees early in the season are probably starting a risky QB anyway.
Heisenburg23 26
Starting brees over rivers— I’ll gamble higher ceiling over safer floor in the playoffs ! Also have Hurts but worried his floor much lower. Edited December 18, 2020 by Heisenburg23

Vendetta 528
Why trot him out with MT out? Have to imagine their chances of winning are really slim.
Heisenburg23 26
MT out I’m back to Hurts over Brees then
Teeze334 2
Chiefs are giving up 348 ypg to opponents since week 9. Plus Brees stats were pretty good weeks 1 thru 8 when Thomas was out. I'm trying to convince myself to start him over Wilson....
Chippa 1,340
Anyone think he’s gonna defy expectations and absolutely ball out? People are skeptical with him, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he put up 30 points
Dislimb 1,379
Seems like a Kamara game to me. 🤷🏻♂️
codyodea 351
Ok. The ribs and lung made it through a whole game and he even threw it 30 plus times. He started to click in the second half. How are we feeling about him next week against the Vikings?
fantasymad 377
No one to really throw the ball to and he had 3 TDs. I think he has a good game against Vikes.
codyodea 351
He took a good shot to the ribs as well. Kept playing. Thought that was a great sign.
USWAY 364
Thought it was clear the Saints made the right decision to bring him back, even though they lost. He was no worse for the wear, and as a very timing reliant QB it was good to allow him to shake the rust off prior to the playoffs.
trilly 227
Other than hating that they sub in Hill at the goal line (bc I have both Brees and Kamara), I agree that he has a solid setup this week. My biggest worry last week was re-injury and it looks like he made it out unscathed so I'm rolling with him.
fantasymad 377
I have a sneaky suspicion that Brees has a big game today. Even without MT and Smith.
