It’s not the NFLs job to find you a QB. Otherwise, all the Eagles games would be cancelled.

I think these players are just telling the coaches they were in close contact so they can get out of practice for the week.

LOL

I think its based on the devices they are wearing. Anybody within 6 feet for 10 minutes is considered close contact.

What is a “Close Contact”?

  • Living in the same household;
  • Being within six feet of someone for about 15 minutes;
  • Having direct contact with secretions from a person infected with COVID-19 (e.g., being coughed on);
  • Having direct physical contact with an infected individual during practice, a game or team travel; or
  • Handling uniforms, equipment or a shared object used by an infected individual.
  • Close contact does not include brief interactions, such as walking past someone.
  • Thanks 1

Just move it to Monday or Tuesday. Good for Aaron Jones, lol.

Only bad news you better have a backup plan if he doesnt play with it being a late game. We arent sure what the next few hours might look like. For all we know Jones could be limited in practice again today. Game is still scheduled for tomorrow

Yeah. I have options for a backup plan, but it looks like the game isn't getting moved, so it's moot. Crazy how little they're reacting to outbreaks at this point.

The NFL: we had a player scheduled to play tomorrow test positive.

Also the NFL: prepare the “No new players tested positive today so the game is still on” memo to be released tomorrow at 9am.

The CDC has now updated Close Contact guidelines to anybody within 6 feet for a CUMULATIVE 15 minutes over a 24 hour period.

So you're tackling a guy and it takes some time to get off the pile.  That's 30 seconds.  The DB is lined up across him before the snap, that's another 10 second.  Add it all up and if it's 15 minutes, then you're at risk.

Not much has been said of this lately...weren't players wearing these tracking devices at all time?  Isn't that how they do their tracing and close contact identification?  I don't know why they aren't talking about it more and why they aren't sharing the data.

Fully expect the game to go tomorrow even though now there are positive players on both teams.

So Kendrick Bourne was a false positive yet all those 49ers (Bourne, Aiyuk, Williams) are still ruled out today. How does that make any sense?

Yeah it does not. Yet because somehow the billion dollar NFL business can't get morning of test results, so they are sending actual guys with the virus out of the field.

It boggles the mind.

Chicago talk radio all morning has been talking about it being a realistic possibility of The Bears at The Titans being canceled.  Multiple radio personalities were saying if this game was in Chicago it would be almost certainly canceled.

Why? Because of one positive test?
