He did none of these. Therefore, no save.

 

Makes sense.  I know I've seen pitchers get saves pitching less than an inning before but they probably inherited runners.  I've never really paid close attention to that before.

I would say that the evidence clearly points to Ginkel being the guy. Not only did they give him the first save opportunity out of the gate, but after he blew that one they gave him the next one right

I'd like to congratulate myself on jinxing Mr. Ginkel. Only took three days for him to be sent down.

Yeah if he had come in with guys on base he could’ve gotten the save, even by only getting one out. That is the qualifiers.
