I know but what is the injury. Knee bruise, twist, sprain. What happened. MRI scheduled?

They never revealed what it was, similar to Miles Sanders. He's carried a designation for 2 weeks now, but this is the only week it kept him out. Lynn implied that he would have been able to play just fine with a brace, but he held him out.

Anthony Lynn’s days are numbered like a calendar box.

Did you see Warren Sharp's breakdown of how he handled the last drive of the game?

Literally should be a tutorial for young coaches on how NOT to manage a late game possession.

All these absurd losses need to fall on someone, they have a unbelievably talented, young franchise QB--that Lynn had no interest in playing until a freak thing happened, and even then still resisted going with him until his hand was forced.

Back to J-Jack, if he could have played and Lynn went with P-squad Ballage and a rookie he also doesn't seem to trust, then that speaks volumes too.

hoping this is good news for jj, but it might relate more to pope.

Chargers RB Kalen Ballage

has reverted back to the practice squad a day after totaling 84 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders. (Alain Poupart on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Ballage was called up from the Chargers’ practice squad for their Week 9 game against the Raiders in place of Troymaine Pope (concussion). Ballage carried it 15 times compared to Joshua Kelley’s 9 times, but it was Kelley who out-snapped Ballage 54% to 40%. Justin Jackson, who played just three snaps after suffering an apparent injury, must be feeling ok, at least enough for the Chargers to send Ballage back down to the practice squad. If Jackson and Pope both can’t go in Week 10 however, Ballage could get the nod again in a revenge game against his former team, the Miami Dolphins.

It is purely procedural. They have to revert back after a gameday call up.

Depending on situation and league exemption status, players can be called up 2x and then after that have to be offered a main roster spot and can no longer taxi back/forth.

Are you guys starting him this week if he's active?

As long as he gets in a few full practices, I will have to start him.  Don't feel great about it as you know he is capable of giving you a zero but slim pickings now.

So basically our worst fears realized. Can't drop him, but can't play him either

So who wins the battle?

Guessing Kelley is the best bet to have any role, but has Ballage been recalled? Any word on Pope?

Seems like they've been dressing/using 3 RBs. I'd be surprised if Pope couldn't get cleared by this weekend, so I guess it would be him, Ballage and Kelley. I actually think Kelley is the worst bet. He was outplayed by Pope 2 weeks ago, and by Ballage last week.
