Joined my second $150 NFBKC Draft Champions and Doncic went 1st, I was lucky enough (I hope) to have pick 2 and went Harden. Pick 1 write for Friends with Fantasy Benefits so he is no slouch. The trade rumors to the Nets spooked him he said.

Doncic will never reach that value in return. He's setting himself up for disappointment. If Harden goes to the nets his value will take a hit imo. Not sure why you guys would have a draft before free agency period winds down. Hard to make educated picks then.

I agree, I play in volume and I play for money. If this was my lone league or 1 of a small few there is no way I would draft at this time. I was drafting in NFL right after the draft (largely due to covid) and was getting unreal value before the masses got to put out fantasy rankings and articles etc... I think I get a similar advantage here too knowing teams payrolls, making selections based on my own research before all these sites have rankings out.

I cashed for over 12k this fantasy baseball season, profited about 11k.

Am in 29 season long fantasy football leagues, did another 60 or so best balls, hit for 52k a few weeks ago, as of now up about 49k on the football season DFS wise and the season long as of now is looking good but we all know how that is, it comes down to 3 weeks week 14, 15 and 16 where almost all of the money is decided. In terms of bestballs I did the math earlier and you need to win about 1 of 8 to break even, 2nd place finishes are icing on the cake and with 6 weeks left anything can happen but these are total pts and I am in position to smash.

Basketball is much less popular in the high stakes community but I'm doing my 2nd $150 Draft Champions as we speak and will do at least 1 more (right before the season starts), I have a local 9 cat h2h league for $100 Canadian and I will likely do 1 $350 Online Championship (also right before the season) so I know not only where the rookies land, free agents land, how all the trades pan out but most importantly the schedule to manipulate picks or be tie breakers etc....

As the great Herm Edwards said "You play to win the game, You don't just play to play" I play to win the game, if I just played to play, or played in 1 league I probably would draft the night before opening tip off to minimize risk. In these leagues all 12 of us have the same risks so no one is at a advantage but I think I gain a edge. In the first Draft Champions I did I got the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rated rookie PG in the 16th, 17th and 18th rounds. If even one of them pan out I struck gold, If even one of them land in a perfect spot there is zero chance you can draft them that late in future drafts. I just took Harden 2nd overall, if he reunites with Dantoni in Brooklyn it's not the end of the world, if he reunites with Morey in Philadelphia again I can live with it, if he stays in Houston and Westbrook leaves (You can't real get a steal at pick 2) but I would feel like I stole something.

My start is Harden, Ayton, SGA, Jrue. Start 4 G, 4 F, 2 C, 2 Util and Harden was 4th in rebs and 2nd in blocks last year amongst guards while SGA was 5th and 3rd and Jrue was 18th and 4th. I am hoping the out of position stats helps what as of now is looking light.

So you passed on Jimmy Butler for SGA? Thats just not smart. Jimmy is a top 15 talent. Even if you didn't want Jimmy you could simply draft him for the trade value alone. This is one weird draft overall with Doncic going number 1 and Jimmy lasting until almost the 4th round. I'm 100% sure no other draft will look anything like this.

I did. I mapped out my draft many rounds in advance. This is a 8 cat roto league with weekly rosters and you start 4 G, 4 F, 2 C and 2 Util. With my start and with what was on the board when I was on the clock in round 3 (I wanted Vuce or Nurkic originally) I accepted the fact that I was likely gonna be light in Rebounds and Blocks so I decided to go 5 str8 guards and fill my 4 Guards and 2 Utility. Harden was 4th among guards at NFBKC in rebs per game, SGA 6th, Jrue was 17th my other 3 guards Mccollum, Oladipo and Bledsoe all rebound well for a guard also while all 6 also block shots well for guards. Butler is F only here. Now my 4 Forwards and my non Ayton C spot will be a revolving door based on what stats I'm looking for or who has a 4 game week etc... I have gone RHolmes, AGordon, Bagley, Barton, Noel, Bjelica and I'm hoping for Harrison Barnes next. If I hit on a breakout forward or just am dilligent in maximizing games I like my chances.

Feel free to join a league https://nfc.shgn.com/lobby/basketball

Well with those settings and no guard eligibility it does drop Butler a whole round. Fair argument, although i probably would still take him anyway.
