Not worried about this guy at all. Slowly but surely getting into shape. Might be worth sending buy low offers if his owner is impatient.

i am worried, not worry the playing time, it is about the usage, seems they dont use him attack the basket, normally just use him at high post for a pick, then hand-off back to guards, the guards play too many iso, and took jump shot after the pick, they should use Nurkic to score few easy baskets...

I have the same thought as you ,also Nurkic is still a little bit out of shape, looks slow and tired, not very aggressive in both offense and defense

he gon be fine, hes been a 15ppg guy since going to portland and i dont expect anything less from him...bout to enter his prime and might even be better (will probably be)

i did not expect the line he had last night after only having 2 points during the third quarter

kanter is and will always be a useful offensive option but he doesnt stand a chance against nurk, whole defense collapses when kanter is on the floor so kanters minutes might be reduced as the season goes on

when he gets into game shape, hes gonna play big minutes cause without him and covington, they dont stand a chance against others

I think Nurk just needs to demand the ball more often when he's dealing with smaller bigs that he can roast. Otherwise Dame/CJ hog most of the early shots and then some random bum like Trent Jr gets hots from the bench and nukes Nurk even further. It'll be fine though because the guy is a beast

Nurk just needs the new year to come and get to the cupcakes on his schedule instead of facing Gobert & AD. Everybody gets to feast on Golden St, when is it Nurk's turn? Oh right, next week. If you play DFS, you love Nurk having a quiet week one so you can put this man in your lineups next week. Obviously this isn't a DFS forum, but his cupcake schedule is coming up.

GSW x2, CHI, MIN, SAC  yum yum

In the Utah game I caught a glimpse of Nurk's profile while he was running up the court... dude literally has a noticeably protruding gut and backside, shaped like a pregnant woman lol

That said, it's simply a matter of him playing himself into shape.  What was encouraging was how Portland came out of the gate attempting to use Nurk as a primary facilitator of their offense.  Even out of shape, he was money in hitting Blazers teammates on back cuts to the rim.  I think the Miami Heat with Bam last season established a bit of a cheat code with a non-3pt shooting high IQ big who can operate 20-22 feet out top of key and run the triple threat option of dribble handoff or back cut dish or straight-line drive.  Bam is obviously far more athletic than Nurk (and thus a greater threat of straight-line drive), but Nurk has a better outside jumper (and thus greater threat on handoffs), and more importantly: they both have a similar level of passing touch

Portland seems to be featuring Nurk in this capacity early on, and this is promising to Nurk owners because it solidifies him as a central component of their offense

Starting to worry about Stotts and his usage of Kanter. Seems to be really cutting into Nurks productivity. Kanter getting waaaay too many minutes for my liking.

The guys a pylon I don’t get the obsession playing him so much

Gotta love the over reaction , Kanter ain’t cutting into squat.  He can’t play defense for his life.  Nurk just getting back into shape

it's not even about kanter, nurkic is straight up lethargic...so passive and slow. how long do we have to wait for this fool to get "into shape"? 2024? he looks like hes 30lbs overweight.

Maybe Portland getting rid of Whiteside lulled Nurk into a false sense of security and he partied a bit too hard about his bubble break out.  He's definitely been one of the biggest let downs so far and probably one of the worst culprits so far who look like they overachieved somewhat in the bubble.  He'll be better and this is a decent buy low opportunity.  Obviously some frustrated owners out there.

nurkic looks like bryant big country reeves out there...but with a beard and curly hair. so fat and lethargic.

One sequence was really pathetic. He stood in his cement shoes to watch Mccollum's man just sprint to the basket uncontested, followed by the laziest 3ft bounce pass mankind has ever seen.

I still maintain he corrects his stats vs the cupcake schedule coming up.

It’s garbage time let the man play and gain some touches plus confidence. Stotts obsession with Kanter is very baffling

Honestly if I were the coach and I'm seeing Nurk put in such weak effort, im benching his a** too for Kanter.
