brickcitymamba 318
Back at the Wolves' den and even though they currently have a plethora of guards, I'm assuming there are moves still to be made. Far less facilitators, though, so there should be a solid enough role in store. Thoughts?
apatas 436
Not much different from season 2019/2020. It means TOP75 at least.
fabrar 2,764
He should be fine. He can easily pull off 12 ppg, 7-8 dimes and a steal and a half. Russell is more of a sg anyway and Rubio can continue to be the primary distributor
rob0403 1,226
I haven't looked at the stats but apparently D'Angelo is very bad off ball? And they have to prioritize D'Angelo over Ricky. Thoughts?
DonutGiveUp 1,937
Minnesota just resigned Beasley. I don’t understand all the guards but Ricky’s assist numbers should be solid

Apparently rumors are that they want to play a 3 guard starting lineup. They might have the worst defensive team in the league next year.

With Saunders as coach that’s a guarantee brother lol
mattshhh 189
This was my mid-round panic pick when Capela got snagged and I anxiously pivoted to assists. Wasn't hot on him at the time, and hadn't even considered he might come off the bench. We'll see if that changes cuz his value's at real risk this year
Jugernot 113
I would stay far away from him. It's too much of a risk. I don't know why people assumed he would be a starter. I think those days are over for him.
Gile Pile 1,206
as long as he gets 25 min (he will), Rubio will be fine
willie24 7
I'm staying away from him. In my opinion he doesn't shoot well enough for my liking. I don't think Russell and Rubio is a good combo for the Wolves either. Pass on Rubio for me.
HispasianTuna 253
He's been coming off the bench for the last 2 preseason games. Not a promising start, but I can tell you that the Wolves will keep losing if he doesn't start. They need a pass first PG to facilitate the team.
PUNTSQUAD 173
I usually love Rubio as an inexpensive mid-round source of elite AST and STL, but I'm not liking this situation in Minnesota. The guy is only 30yo so not washed by any means, but MIN invested some serious money into that Russell/Beasley backcourt so it's hard to see Ricky breaking into the starting lineup. Looking at Ricky's career resume he's always needed at least 30 MPG to break into that 8.0 AST territory and I just don't see him getting those minutes this season outside of injuries to Russell/Beasley All that being said, I'd probably have to take him if he falls to 8th round
BykeINIT 153
he was dropped in my league and my only drop would be carmelo or beasley, both who i value over rubio in his current situation.

I don't like Rubio much this year but he should not be on the waiver wire at all, at least not until we see how everything plays out. Also Carmelo should be on waivers unless you're in a deep league which I highly doubt since Rubio was dropped.
justaguy 280
Highly considering dropping for patrick Williams. I got him at a bargain (pick 117) and still not liking the situation
HispasianTuna 253
DLO is out so Rubio is more than likely starting the next preseason game. I'm hoping for a strong showing in hopes Saunders changes his mind and starts him during the regular season. Minny really needs a facilitator to run this team with all the scorers and shooters they have. I also reached for Rubio so I need this scrub to start 😭

rabaak 378
He doesn't need a lot of minutes to be productive in a points league. Maybe with less minutes, the fresh legs will help with steals, Rebs and fast breaks.

joshoowah 234
I really hope Rubio isn't relegated to the bench. He makes those around him better just by his distribution skills, but Russell worries me being there because of his need to dominate the ball. It's a shame honestly. mattshhh 189
Another ugly night. Started but finished -13 while bench players kept the team alive and he didn't play in OT. Boy oh boy will I be kicking myself for this. The problem is you can't casually drop him unless there's an 8 assist 1.5 steals guy on your waivers. Gotta just wait and see if he turns it on. Tekno Team 2000 1,619
Rubio is one of my favorite players and I drafted him every non Utah year. But I made a point to stay far away and it was real simple why - way too many guards on this team that they are invested in that they will need to give minutes to. DLo, Edwards, Beasley, Culver, and to a lesser extent Okogie. They traded to bring back Rubio, and he will play all of the non DLo PG mins, but they are not invested in him to be the #1 PG on the team nor to be any type of focal point. Sure a few of these guys can play some mins at SF, but even if Rubio started at 1 with DLo at the 2, Rubio won’t close games. Max Rubio is getting 25 mins and I am not even sure he gets that. He for sure ain’t getting 30 barring injury of course. It’s unfortunate but this isn’t going to be fun for anyone that has him.
mattshhh 189
As painful as it'll be to let go of a mid-round pick early, I'm not giving him a long leash after the season starts. Now's the time when real value is chillin on waivers, won't be that way in a month.
