Hey! No matter what....Donut. Give. Up!

He is still a very useful player to own, I think. There are almost no shot blockers, and ones who don't hurt you in FT%? Plus get 3's? And he is not just a shot blocker, he is one of the best.

Don't go wishing for a players injuries. Especially not when the guy you're betting on misses even more games each year.

If a single player on a 12-14 player roster can win you a category by himself, it makes life so much easier. I have no one else on my roster who was a blocks specialist, and this guy won me that category.

you're just like the other owner in my league.  Turner is NOT going to give you this many blocks all the time.  There will times when for the whole week he'll give you 1 or 2.

So, you’re saying Turner won’t be putting up  5.6 blocks ROS?

People can keep dismissing the massive value this guy’s been bringing, that’s just doing everyone else a favor.  Thank you.

This statement is 100% false.  Blocks are one of the hardest cats to find in FA/WW, along with FT% impact and assists.

u can’t find players with 1 bpg on the wire?

stream that spot 7 times and you got 7 blocks on the week

not to mention, there’s no way turner keeps this up

when his blocks regress to the mean, you’re guna be mad as hell at them 8 point 4 rebounds games

Lol man it never works that way. You’re essentially describing a situation where you hit 7 of 7 times  Doesn’t happen

In the real world, blocks are massively prone to variance from game to game. If I were to stream Jakob Poeltl and his 1.4 BLK average for a game, that in zero way assures me of getting a single BLK from him

BLKs (like STL) happen so infrequently, and as a result, the guys we know who excel in these categories only do so over an accumulation of time. These aren’t categories that can simply be streamed via a single roster spot with the expectation that it’s a sure thing

No, you cannot assume 7 streamers will net you 7 blocks (nevermind the fact that not all leagues allow 7 acquisitions per week).  By attempting to stream shot blockers (I’m assuming you allude to players like Poertle, Birch, Biyombo, TT and their ilk) you’re also inviting damage to your FT%, whereas Turner is going to make ~77% of his FTA and chip in elsewhere.

Turner has been the same 13/7 with maybe a 3PM and 2+ blocks guy for 4 years now.  Savvy fantasy managers have appropriate expectations.  All you’re telling us now is not to consider your input credible at this point.

Seems to me the variance in the block category can or will affect Turner just as much as it can or will affect those streamers. But streaming allows you to more easily adjust your strategy along the way.

I think most of us play with an acquisition limit anyway, so it's probably a moot point.

Lol, I’ve seen some funny advice on fantasy forums over the years, but this one might be one of my favorites.

you must be new

streaming is an age-old concept

so old that many leagues implement a weekly limit on adds/drops

How do we value him and his ELITE blocks this year? They have been insane in the first 4 matches.

Trying to figure out his value and what you guys would take in return (trade wise)

He’s a top 50 player for sure in h2h Cats, he’s a Brook Lopez with better rebounding but poorer ft%

I love him. But he will hurt us eventually. But let’s enjoy the good times while they’re here.

After last season, I couldn't bring myself to draft him again. Hopefully he does right by y'all, because that **** was maddening.

Dude was so frustrating last season, but I was still willing to draft him in the 5th round. He got sniped one pick before me. What a tease this guy is hahaha. Plays terribly for me and then does this when I missed him by a hair.
