rob0403 1,105
The main thing is the minutes. The last few years the leading average shot blockers are above 2.6 blocks a game so it's not Impossible for Turner to average above that a whole season. Turner was a leading shot blocker one of these years. However with less minutes, it's just improbable to impossible to replicate that. And IND has no problem just running Sabonis as the sole big if they win. Pretty much doesn't do anything else other than give blocks. Not a good FG for a C

Fun fact; Myles still ranks #73 on the season if punting blocks, in 30 mpg.

My issue is the Pacers obsession with playing Sabonis so much and forgetting Turner exists second half. Bjorkren doing same sh** McMillan was

When he plays 24-25 minutes (has averaged 25 the last five games) and the other guys ball hog, he is going to produce some really frustrating lines. I think the question is, are they babying him a little because of his injuries or are they choosing not to run that two-big tandem because they don’t feel it works? Because if the minutes aren’t there, I think his value is going to take a serious hit (or continue to take one). His touches are only going to get worse if/when Warren comes back, so you need the minutes for the defensive stats.

It's a bit like the Boucher situation except Turner is the best defender on the Pacers. Let's hope they are just limiting minutes because he's banged up. Personally not worried about Warren he isn't close to returning and will be heavily limited
rob0403 1,105
The big concern with him as vs Boucher is that 2 coaches now are seemingly coming to the conclusion that they should play Turner less minutes.

Not true. Turner was playing 30 plus minutes until he got banged up recently. He's easily their best defender and can hit threes. Will be fine going forward
BykeINIT 130
i also think the minute limit has more to do wit injuries than anything
