As a Raps fan, I find the discussion in this thread to be hilarious. Why would any Raps fan be hating on the prototypical Raptor success story? You should be rooting for the skinny guy who has

Everyone knows the concept of a sell high.

It's another thing when you're presented with that opportunity in the moment.

Let this be a lesson that doesn't go wasted. (who am I kidding, same pattern will repeat with the next Boucher)

Funny how all the guys who praised him as a top 25 player disappeared from this thread.

They sold him high.

Nurse needs to get some balls and start this guy and give him 30 min nightly

Don't blame Nurse, he's just not playing well; thus the coach doesn't trust this 100lb center.

He's afraid to shoot. He had lots of chances last night at open shots and just passed the ball to someone else. Confidence is shot. I also don't think he's playing as hard as he was earlier

I tried to slow down that chatter, along with the "he's a unicorn and a gazelle out there", which was hilarious.

He's going to bounce back, but he's very matchup dependent. Teams are going to continue to close him down on 3 pointers and his efficiency there was always going to drop. He's losing minutes because he's not great defensively, aside from being a weak side help defender on blocks.

He had been outplaying his ADP by over a 100 spots. So of course a lot of owners were able to sell high when he was producing 1st-2nd round value. But this doesn't mean he still won't be useful on rosters. Name another player drafted towards the end of standard league drafts that has put up similar value this season. All I expected beginning of season was about 1 three/10 points/6 boards/1.6 blocks, so he has exceeded expectations while also outperforming other 3 and block specialists like Brook Lopez ,who was drafted around 4-5 rounds earlier.

Think I'm being quoted here.

Yes, Boucher may be matchup based,  but look at the production,  forget fantasy, still an outstanding prospect.

If you added Boucher to the Nuggets roster right now in place of porter Jr, they'd be a better team

I'm sure the Raptors would gladly make that trade

Boucher at 28 can hardly be considered a prospect.  His game did not  improve significantly in his time with Raptors. He will be what he is:  weak 1-on-1 defender who can   block as help defender. On offense, his game is  limited as  roller to the rim and open 3s. He cannot create his own shot.

Btw, suggesting that replacing MPJ with Boucher will make Denver  better team is very funny. I hope it's ajoke

Well my argument may be too nuanced for some of you

Yes, Porter Jr is a franchise level talent you can build an offense around. He also doesn't move well off the ball , doesn't hustle and isn't in the right spots many times.

Boucher plays hard and sprints the court. A high level role player who can shoot would be a better fit w Jokic.

You are saying  that  replacing franchise level talent with a role player that can shoot makes your team better.

I cannot argue with that 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

I hope you do know that MPJ has better %s than Boucher?

Let's see who has a better career. MPJ would be a college senior right now.

“Toronto should trade for another C as an upgrade over Boucher”....instead they should keep him and trade Lowry and/or Siakam for a better G and C to surround him.
