So I’m thinking this is trending towards being a lost season for Dray fantasy wise. I know it’s just been 5 games for him, but I think Klay (who’s just the best catch-and-shoot guy) not being there reduces the number of assists for Dray. Plus, he’s lost a step due to age, and is just not going to get even close to 10 PPG or 10 RPG.

The guy makes the team infinitely better and a legit playoff contender in the West, but fantasy scrub.

Still early, the reality is it's his second game with 30+ mins he salvaged this line with the 2 steals tonight but I would give it a couple more weeks maybe 1-2 to gauge his outlook for this season before I cut bait.

Looks like its time to take him off my bench and play him. I still consider the Raptors a good team even though they have sucked this year so far, so it's nice to see Daymond ball out against a good team.

Still a ways to go, and he needs those stocks and 3s to pick up. Despite the back to back games with 10 asts, he’s barely in the top-150 for 9-cat for the past week.

Well if he suddenly starting hitting 3PM and getting stocks, that would put him a top 20 player again like vintage Dray from a few years ago.  I don't think anyone drafting him in the mid-late rounds realistically would expect that again.

Yea, I don't think there's an expectation of him being a Top-20/30 player ever again. But 1 three and 1 blk avg is needed to get him into the 50-60 range which is what the folks who drafted him in the mid-rounds were hoping for.

I don't know basketball -_-, but is 4 points/ 5 boards/ 6 assists averages on 30% shooting/20% from 3 worth 5 yr. $118m?

was 3 championship rings? for which he provided elite level defense and ALL of the intangibles you need to win. thats why they paid him

He got carried by KD, Steph, Klay. Don't get me wrong he's a great facilitator and was a pretty good defender, but he wasn't worth the max. Also, in fantasy all of the intangibles don't matter sadly.

carried is pretty disingenuous. in the first year they won the title and when they won 73 games he was beyond incredible. and yes it showed up on the stat sheet. he was arguably their second most important player behind steph.

he's not a "pretty good" defender. he's one of the best ever. i know this topic isn't really relevant to fantasy but it bugs me when people downplay him. kinda just shows you really don't understand the game, like he said himself.

I do, he's just washed up it is what it is, teams fall into the trap of paying for past performances instead of future potential which puts them in these situations. It happens to alot of teams but Dray hasn't been the same since that year where they won without KD.
