Hanghow 424
After an offseason of hand-wringing about how he's only been good due to playing at Yankee Stadium, it now appears likely he'll land in..... Yankee Stadium. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/01/yankees-dj-lemahieu-nearing-agreement.html
Steve gar 44
Signs a 6 year $90 million contract with the Yankees, according to Jeff Passan of espn. Team friendly contract, good for both sides. Edited January 15 by Steve gar
brockpapersizer 11,571
Seems like a fine deal. They'll have to pay him when hes 35-38, but only 15 a year right now is pretty nice.
colorado2013 49
Is he the first player to ever discover his power once he left Colorado? More years, less money than I expected. I was expecting a deal around 5 years, $100 million.
Brooklyn Dude 484
DJ wanted Donaldson money. He compromised and added the final two years to lower the AAV. This allows the Yankees to stay under the luxury tax & the flexibility to sign a pitcher this year. They wanted each other and got it done. Quite clear every team wants to stay under the threshold these days.....even the Yankees.
My Dinner With Andre 5,752
I would have let DJ walk.

colorado2013 49
At $15 million per season, Yanks should be happy with it for the duration, IMO. He'll probably lose that power but I think he will remain a solid player even when he is 37, 38 years old. And for now, that AAV is a steal for what was their best player last season.
