Dylan Moore 2021 Outlook

finally starts to pick things up and then benched out...

(24 mins ago) Moore is not in the lineup Monday against the Tigers.

Moore has picked things up lately after a very slow start, hitting .290 with three homers and a pair of steals in his last nine games. He'll hit the bench Monday, with Donovan Walton taking over at second base.

Eh, that's modern baseball.  Everyone is given days off all the time.

Didn't find a thread on him; so will create one here. Mostly undervalued due to small sample size in 2020; his average ADP is right outside of 100, which may be a bit higher than one would like f

Although I don’t disagree with you, and you’re likely correct, this sounds a lot like what was going through my head 4 years ago when deciding whether or not to pick up Whit Merrifield.

His OBP was .358 last season so he doesn't hurt you in OBP leagues as opposed to BA leagues.

Anyone heard anything more on Moore's calf strain & how long he'll be out? Haven't seen any news since he first went on the IL last Wednesday.

How are we feeling for him ROS?

Can he continue trending up?

Well, nobody's gonna keep playing as bad as he was earlier in the year, so if he keeps starting it means he's doing better. He's no superstar, but put him at 2b or (if your league uses them, middle IFs), and his production would be pretty good.

Kicked off his rehab assignment last night; 1-3 with a SB.

I think this guy could be a steal in leagues he was dropped (all of mine).

will he a full time starter once back?

(16 mins ago) Moore (calf) is 4-for-8 with three doubles, a solo home run, a walk and three runs over his last two rehab games with Triple-A Tacoma.

Moore also laced a single and stole a base in his first game with the Rainiers on Monday, and despite the small sample, his overall body of work would seem to suggest he's ready for activation. However, the Mariners may opt to let the valued utility man get at least another game or two in against minor-league arms before freeing him from the injured list.

He has to hit, of course, but the worst version of Dylan Moore is probably better than the best version of Shed Long or Donovan Walton.
