Seems to be a nice source of steals, guess his PT is only thing in question at the moment.  Has anyone seen anything more on his PT for the upcoming season?

His best path to playing time was going to be if Jazz Chisholm flailed in ST and got sent back down, but at this point Jazz looks like he'll either start the season in Miami or be up in a few weeks.

I guess worth a flier for a deep league with deep benches, but hard to get excited about a guy who doesn't have a clear path to playing time all season.

Deep bench Daily league is only set up he will be useful from the start. He will need injuries to generate value. He is the super utility player and should be every position on the field outside P and C this year. Chances are he will get a chance at some point to start full time, but he is a tough hold in weekly or shallow bench leagues.

On a per AB basis, he is a top 200 player. Just a question whether he will get enough ABs to capitalize.

If you are frustrated at sitting back to back games? Then you are in a format he should probably be dropped and wait to scoop him back up when someone gets hurt. In deeper formats, you know patience is key.

Another game, another day off the Marlins bench.  Guess having him rostered on my team as a bench for the speed is irrelevant if he can’t find his way to the Marlins starting lineup..lol

He’s a Donnie favorite; he’ll get his ABs

Not in the starting lineup for the 4th consecutive game.

Still a better option Josh Rojas. These ST hype MI’s flopped so far.

With Marte out, any chance he gets some near-everyday run for a little while?

Well ...

Starling Marte will be placed on the injured list after an MRI revealed a non-displaced fracture of his 12th rib.

Marte suffered the injury during Sunday's game on an awkward swing. He will be shut down for 5-7 days before being re-evaluated, but the odds seem good that this is not a short-term injury. Marte and Jazz Chisholm have been easily the Marlins' best position players this season, so it's a major blow. Magneuris Sierra and Jon Berti are options to fill in in center field from the active roster, and the club could also opt to give Lewis Brinson and/or Monte Harrison a shot.

There you go.  At least Berti is an "option" according to Blurb Guy, heh.

Marte and now Anderson out..does Berti get regular at bats now?

was thinking the same thing.  he's played 3b since anderson went down and seems to have a path to regular PT there for now.  positional flexibility will also help him, just needs to hit.

Maybe consistent PT will get him more comfortable at the plate.  From what I remember he is a decent hitter who will steal some bags even.
