"Why don't you come over here and say that?!"

I hate closers - I feel like a dog chasing my tail in a circle. 😡

I’ve been watching the Tigers game. Clase was the only one warming up a few days ago when it looked like the Indians might tie or take the lead. Today, Karinchak was the only guy warming up in th

Garcia came in for the last out of the 8th for Detroit and Hinch left him in to close out the 9th and he converted the save.  Looks like a true committee for now.  G Soto owners are not pleased.

Didn't Garcia close the end of last year? Might be Hinch's preference.

Garcia and Soto both got saves towards the end of last season.  Soto got the first save for Tigers the other day and most people in this thread were thinking it was going to be Soto getting the majority of the opps.  Soto could still emerge, but it’s a little murkier now after Garcia’s save today.

Neris solid again today..hate this as an Alvarado spec saves owner..lol

Alvaredo is literally the only lefty they have in the bullpen. He was never going to be the full time closer.

G.Soto owners were already not pleased with his 18.00 era! I’m honestly going to drop him for someone like Tejay Antone.

Before anyone freaks out about raisel, he’s pitched in back to back games, and that’s why Guerra is in. Guerra is no threat to his job.

of course raisel owners hate that they put him in a non save situation yesterday so he couldn’t be here today.

I don’t know, Garcia seems like he’s always had an atrocious walk rate, even in the minors, you think he brings it down?

His ground ball/fly ball ratio SLIGHTLY favors ground balls (1.24). He doesn't throw strikes.

He walks too many batters (4.55 BB/9)

He doesn't strike batters out (6.07 K/9) because he doesn't miss bats (79.7% contact).

For reference Sergio Romo, who I don't think anyone would call a shut down closer, has a career 69.6% contact.

Dooolittle in the 8th up by 6.  I think Antone/Sims/Garett are ahead of him

And Antone warming in the 5th (albeit tie ball game)

looks like it’s down to Sims/Garett
