Eh, the "only one" rule was already broken, so who cares. We'll just make it a circlej... I mean a pool Also inviting @BrianM @Flyman75 @Sack Exchange @pastorofmuppets2 @Deuce1042 @trilly @markrc

So far it's been an absolute blast, more fun than the actual draft. I propose to not just keep this going, but send it to some of the teams so they know what to pick

65    Jacksonville:      66    NY Jets:     mocha4313 67    Houston:      68    Atlanta:      69    Cincinnati:     smeeze 70    Philadelphia:      71    Denver:      72    Detroit:

I’ll go ahead and take the giants. Gettleman likes to build the trenches, I’ll go ahead and take the pass rusher Jealen Phillips to bolster an already blossoming defense.

1    Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson (Boudewijn)
2    NY Jets: Zack Wilson, QB, BYU (smeeze)
3    SF  (from Houston): Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State (jumper)
4    Atlanta: Trey Lance, QB, ND State (mocha4313)
5    Cincinnati: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon (ajs723)
6    MIA  (from Philadelphia): Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida (fachowski)
7    Detroit: Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU (thebadferret)
8    Carolina: Devonta Smith, WR Alabama
9    Denver: Micah Parsons, LB Penn State
10   Dallas: Patrick Surtain II, CB Alabama
11    NY Giants: Jaelan Phillips, DE Miami
12   PHI  (from San Francisco): Caleb Farley, CB Virginia Tech, perhaps a bit of a risky pick with a lurking back injury but fills a need with one of the top prospects at the position.
13   LA Chargers
14   Minnesota
15   New England
16    Arizona
17    Las Vegas
18    Miami
19    Washington

I think anyone could make this pick on behalf of the Chargers.

1    Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson (Boudewijn)
2    NY Jets: Zack Wilson, QB, BYU (smeeze)
3    SF  (from Houston): Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State (jumper)
4    Atlanta: Trey Lance, QB, ND State (mocha4313)
5    Cincinnati: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon (ajs723)
6    MIA  (from Philadelphia): Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida (fachowski)
7    Detroit: Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU (thebadferret)
8    Carolina: Devonta Smith, WR Alabama
9    Denver: Micah Parsons, LB Penn State
10   Dallas: Patrick Surtain II, CB Alabama
11    NY Giants: Jaelan Phillips, DE Miami
12   PHI  (from San Francisco): Caleb Farley, CB Virginia Tech
13   LA Chargers: Rashawn Slater, OL Northwestern.  Best player on the board and position of need.  Bolts need linemen, and Slater gives them both a solid LT candidate and positional flexibility to play guard or center if needed.  Did great blocking Chase Young and other NFL caliber players.
14   Minnesota
15   New England
16    Arizona
17    Las Vegas
18    Miami
19    Washington
20   Chicago

I'll still look to trade down to acquire more 1st Round Picks in the 2022 and 2023 drafts (as insurance policy for Tua turning out to be a bust. The team could then leverage all the 1st round picks to move up the get a top QB prospect or win the Watson/Wilson sweepstakes)

Anyway, with the 6th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins select Kyle Pitts.

Toss up between Pitts and Chase here.

If the fins really want to get a WR they have a chance of getting Waddle with the 18th pick. The dropoff wouldn't be that significant from Chase to Waddle. Also, there would be the built-in chemistry between Waddle and Tua.

I have them taking Pitts because he's a generational talent at the position that can match or exceed Kelce and Gronk's impact.

Bummed I missed out on staking a claim on my 'Phins, but I would've made the same pick with what was available.

Great job fachowski!

Minnie-Soda takes too legit to Kwit - Kwity Paye, they like knuckleheads for the Defense, so he fits right in with Jeff Gladney and company. All seriousness, Defense is Zimmer's calling card and his Defense was atrocious last year, time to beef up the D!

Thank Grier because you get a second chance coming up...perhaps we'll see a 3rd one on draft night

23      NYJ  (from Seattle) @Gohawks (just because)
24    Pittsburgh @Ryansm11 (again)

And all feel free to step up and/or ignore, of course.

16    Arizona - Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina - Horn is easily one of the best CBs in this draft and may be the first one drafted (third at worst and I suspect ahead of Farley) - AZ still has a gaping hole there and the talent and need match up well here.

At 17, the Raiders take Jaylen Waddle, because of course the Raiders will take Jaylen Waddle.

Edit - I think I broke the rules, but there just aren't really enough people around.

Thanks. I have been lurking and reading you guys posts. I can’t even name 5 college players for the upcoming draft. So this is beyond my smooth brain.

Definitely next level scouting for fantasy though. Keep it up guys.

I don't watch college football either but I can tell you this... the $hI+ I make up... it's all true!!! lol The Patriots are NOT taking the 5th guy at any position with the 15th overall selection. Mac Jones has all of 17 starts at the collegiate level. That with elite talent all around him & a lot of pre-determined reads. He possesses no ability to extend plays, so we're talking some level of a game-manager.

I like them to consider an X or Z slot WR, Terrace Marshall jr here, but I also like Rashod Bateman & Seth Williams in subsequent rounds.  DL Boogie Bashman has the relentless motor & infectious demeanor in the locker room Bill Belichick can't say no to! Another member has "twitchy" Paye going to the Vikings but there's also Gregory Rousseau, another twitched up, wreck your play edge rusher. That defensive front or a featured WR is my guess.

Y'all letting me pick for the 'Phins for pick #18? I assumed fachowski had dibs on both picks?

Anyway, if it's on me then I will be back with my pick shortly.

If I'm the G/M for the Dolphins, and this is the board that falls to me, my first choice is to try and trade out of the pick. But, based on having to pick at #18, MY pick is RB Travis Etienne.

Best pass receiving back in the draft IMO, and he's a threat to house it every time he has the ball in his hands. He gives Tua a check down, which is going to work to both of their strengths IMO. I could see Etienne easily getting 50-60 targets as a rookie, assuming he wins the starter's job (not a high bar) and gets plenty of PT. Perhaps a little early for a RB to come off the board based on historical drafting. But, I see a Faulk-iike skill set in him. Probably would've gone Waddle had he still been OTB.

Could've also gone Oline, but they invested heavily in the Oline in the draft last year, so they need to give them a chance to develop. There's still top talent OTB on the defensive side too. But, since they're all in on Tua, you've got to give him weapons to succeed.
