Great news overall. Have to imagine with this kind of injury he'll be dealing with it to some extent for a while (anyone who has bruised a rib, strained their core, etc. can tell you). However, it'll hopefully lessen in the next few weeks and he can maintain some semblance of the insane groove he's been in.

If you don't love watching Ronald Acuna play, then you don't love the modern game of baseball.  I'm a Phillies fan, but I loved seeing him mix it up with Jean Segura throughout the series.  Not only d

Definitely not #1 overall with the season Tatis is headed for.

Ronald Acuña Jr. exited Saturday's game after being hit by a pitch in his left hand.

Acuña was plunked in the left hand by a Sam Coonrod fastball that registered 98 mph and immediately exited the contest. More on this story as it develops.

Ronald Acuña Jr. was diagnosed with a left pinky finger contusion.

X-Rays have already come back negative after Acuña was plunked by a 98 mph fastball from the right arm of Sam Coonrod. The superstar outfielder is considered day-to-day, and while he may miss a couple of days, it does sound like the 23-year-old has avoided a significant injury. Don't be surprised if Acuña is out of the lineup on Sunday, however, for the contest against the Phillies.

Phew. He also got hit on the hand with a 94 MPH fastball by a Gallen fastball a couple weeks back right after he had missed a few games with the abdominal strain. His hands aren't quite as in harms way as someone like Rizzo's but this is going to happen from time to time unfortunately.
