Reason #28,941 why everyone should use the DH:

Imagine thinking Vlad wouldn't be a good hiiter 😂😂

I had Paxton. I had Bumgarner. I have Fried. I have Merryweather. I have Soroka. I have Yarbrough. My pitching is injured/ineffective gutter trash. I also have Baddoo. Life is fun again.

you called it that he would get a hit today I think.

I said in his last game. He was due though. He's a good hiiter and for catchers he's going to be an elite hitter.

Anyone else feeling a Harvey QS coming on? Mariners suck, and Harvey has a 9:2 K/BB rate so far with a 3.62 xERA

He's got a five era right? I wouldn't, but crazy things have happened.

Quote

Braves placed LHP Max Fried on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Fried suffered the injury while running the bases on Tuesday night against the Marlins and figures to miss at least two turns in the Braves' rotation. The 27-year-old left-hander earned down-ballot NL Cy Young Award votes in 2020 but hits the IL having allowed 15 runs -- 14 earned -- over 11 innings (three starts) in 2021.

I am with you. I know people like to see pitchers get a knock, but how often does that really happen? Not to mention freak injuries that have happened to pitchers batting or running the bases.

Burnes out there painting with 96 MPH cutters that have some of the most vertical movement I have seen on that pitch.

His cutter is my favorite pitch in baseball

Burnes is basically on the DeGrom/Bieber/Cole level now

Pretty close. Cubs also have the worst offense in baseball right now. Their best hitter is batting .209. Pathetically bad.

I really do not think the lineup matters when this Corbin Burnes is on the bump. Batters have next to no shot.

Where do you rank Burnes as of right now?

I am not answering for OP, but seems like it's a two man race in the NL for cy young between burnes and degrom.
