This forum sure goes from “slightly above average regular” to “league winner” real quick...

Another one today. Absolutely smoked. Should be back with the twins tomorrow or Saturday, make sure he's not on your wire.

Pain in the anatomic snuffbox and a scaphoid fracture makes some sense as well... that would not be good either as that typically requires surgery due to the lack of blood supply to that bone and the risk of necrosis. Imaging tests sometime don’t pick up scaphoid fractures the first go around and if minor, could actually not realize it’s broken until aggravating it (a la sliding into second base or swinging a bat aggressively).  This is pure speculation but hoping for the best for the young man.

Kirilloff owners this morning & how they feel....

The only cure for this pain would be a Kelenic promotion.

Such a bummer. Hopefully it really did happen when he was sliding into second, or on the basepaths, and not anything to do with his swing.

Lol that's funny. I'm not a huge fan of it. Made it in 2007. Guess it made sense then.

I wish "Serious injury " applied only to things like Dustin May and Luis Robert.  [...]

* I don't know if it's 6 weeks, but it doesn't sound like surgery or anything.  I'm guessing he's a hold in keepers.

I don't know... anytime more than one specialist is involved, it kinda feels like surgery is at least in the room.

My made up medical degree tells me that sprains are very rarely fixed with surgery.  FWIW, he sprained the same wrist twice in 2019 and missed 4 weeks and then 2.5 weeks.  The history migjt be a reason for so much scrutiny, but what I don't know can fill a warehouse.

Obviously not good news, and of course, it could be a worse sprain. but looks like a keeper leagues at least can hold for now.

Edit: just saw the "traveling to see another specialist" thing.   But also says that Baldwlli is optimistic. So theres that.

Weird how he keeps spraining the same wrist over and over..... Seems like the Twins feel the same why, hence the multiple specialists involved... very interesting.

Did you see the play? Didn’t look at all out of the ordinary.  He even stayed in the game and hit a double.  Can’t they just let him play?

[...] I guess he hit too many homeruns for his wrist to handle, but seriously his wrist in question has injury history from 2019 and word is this is serious and more doctors coming.... yeah cutting... not in position to wait 2 months(if only)

this makes it worse, when injury shows up without any visual reason its usually worse situation, aka non contact injuries.

I mean, what is he supposed to do, break down crying and gibbering in a dark closet while fisting entire handfuls of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food into his mouth between sobs?

That may be fine for Kirilloff owners in fantasy baseball leagues, but real life managers have to keep a stiffer upper lip.

It was a contact injury.  Second base.

It was a 360 from. 24 hours ago where he said it was a concern.
