I was the Jays situation was more clear so I can just dump Romano if he isn't closer and use his roster spot.

It's a lot more clear now as Dolis just went on IL.

More and more each year I play closer roulette. This forum thread is very helpful.

Speculation.....yes I like Trevor May if you have the roster space. The Mets brought Diaz to close for sure but.....May is next. Sure Familia has the experience but May is the guy.

Braves come to an agreement with Shane Greene per roto

Smith has been solid, converting 7/7 save opps...surely Smith's leash is fairly long right?

He had one really bad outing in a non save situation that inflated his ERA.

Reds situation any less murky to anyone?

In their last win that WASN'T a no-hitter, they went Antone for a tie game in the 8th and 9th and Sims in the 10th. So possibly Sims has the pole position? But honestly, who knows. Maybe they'll get a save situation again one day.

He can’t get a save opportunity

^maybe not. But he sure can give up a whole lot of runs, hits, and walks.

maybe Staumont is one of those guys who only pitches well when its a save opp?  the last couple times he's gotten touched up, they have all been non-save opps.  hopefully matheny picks up on this.  royals haven't had a save opp in 10 games, so he's been trying to get him work in other situations, but it hasn't gone well.

MR VALDEZ is a machine

It’s hard to call an 87mph fastball nasty…but that last pitch to Devers was nasty.
