Thoughts on the backup closer in Detroit?  I have Soto and wouldn't mind rostering the backup. Yes, they wont get many saves but AL only league so any save counts.

I thought it was Bryan Garcia...but they have him warming up in the 3rd inning in a blowout game.

Edit: Enters the game in the 3rd inning down 8-2

as bad as Soto has been, everyone else in that bullpen has done worse, imo.

If you're in a competitive league, I think you're kinda stuck with Soto. Maybe add Givens from COL if you're desperate.

If no one has Garcia, maybe grab him. But I'm not sure Garcia is as much of a threat to Soto as Givens is to Bard.

I actually expect him to get another shot.  Rodgers hasn't been lights out.  But we need to see Colome have a few games of not giving up 3 runs.

The runs Rogers gave up last night were his first of the year. He's very much been lights out. Alex Colome just isn't a good pitcher. The only argument that I can think of against using Rogers in the closer's role is that he's left handed.

AL only league...I'm guessing Ciserno..but he's awful too.

Another way of looking at it is Rogers has given up runs in every game he's tried closing this year. Or that he's blown half of his save opportunities.

anyone watch? He came in in the 8th. Wish they would have keep him in the 9th lately. Maybe some good hitting there tonight?

Soto hasn’t been that bad (knock on wood, knock on wood, knock on wood).

He’s got a 2.31 ERA and 3 saves.

McGee; Non save situation.  Did anyone see? What was his velocity?  Starting to wonder about him.

He was sitting 92-94 MPH. Horrible command tonight.

Maybe nerves coming back home to Denver?

I’m seeing an inning with an ER and three baserunners.

This is highly upsetting for him to come into the 7th inning today . There is no way he loses the gig to Wade Davis. please say they are not going with that set up. He did what a closer should do thou in the 7th K the guy to end the inning.
