As good as Rodon has been to start the season, I think I would take the Semien trade. He simply has a more extensive track record, and if you need hitting, it makes sense. I think that's a decent return personally as it's usually pretty hard to sell high on guys that were plucked off waivers. Peralta is pretty blah IMO so I have no issue throwing him in there too. For future reference, I never worry about rostering 2-3 guys from the same team. They will all get their stats one way or another. There will be nights when the team gets shut down and it doesn't seem worth it, and there will be nights when the team goes off and it works out in your favor....Just draft/play the best possible hitters you can.

I think you can get more for him.

I agree with this. That trade would be selling high, but leaving a lot on the table and not maximizing the opportunity. Shop him, there are owners that will give more than Rodon. And I can assure you that the other owner believes that it is he who is selling high (on Semien), and he's probably right.

THIS

Semien is off to one of the best starts of his career and zero doubt - the other owner believe THEY are selling high on him.  With that said, I'm super sure you could maybe even get an uptick better than Semien for Rodon;  with that said, Rodon is a former first round pick with an alectric arm he's just always been injured and he seems to have put it all together this year.
