MLB is such a joke. Mariners have a better record and they trade away their best reliever for future assets. The Yankees, 3rd best team in their division and they blow the luxury tax out of the water to acquire Gallo. The league is always going to fall in popularity until there is a hard salary cap.

The Mariners timeline has always been 2022. It's been that for a while.

Graveman has half a year left before he leaves so why not trade him for a guy with potential to contribute during the period they're expected to contend in? Dude already has 2 HRs in 2 games for them.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Tanner Houck will be brought back for the team's August 7 doubleheader in Toronto.

Houck was just optioned to Triple-A Worcester, which sparked speculation that the Red Sox might be making a trade for a starting pitcher, but Cora explained that the move is just about creating some roster flexibility for the next stretch of the schedule. Carry on

I want the Yanks lineup to be nothing but 3 outcome guys. Would be a lot of fun to watch.

Yeah bore all their fans to death with nothing happening on the bases.  If a homer is hit nobody will see it because they all fell asleep watching the endless parade of strikeouts and walks.

Yeah Houck has options so no need to keep him up between starts when you can carry an extra reliever for your bullpen.

The Yankees operate like me playing franchise mode on MLB the Show with no plans of playing more than one season. Are they trying to get Story with Voit and then Rizzo to play first?
